Clashes in southwestern Libya leave casualties

Armed clashes broke out between the Joint Security Room of Murzuq (JSRM) and gunmen from Qatrun town, southwest Libya, the JSRM reported Saturday.
The spokesman of the JSRM, Jaber Mohammed confirmed in a press statement that at least one person was killed and two others injured, claiming that the gunmen are likely to belong to a Chadian opposition group.
He further added that their forces were able to arrest nine people during the clashes that took place in the area known as the forest of Tjeri in Qatrun, while in turn; the armed group kidnapped two members of the security room in response to the arrest of its gunmen.
