Sahel: Four drug traffickers arrested in Mali
A large shipment of drugs left the Maghreb through the deserts of Mali and Niger. The merchandise arrives later in the south of Libya, and was passed to two Libyans subcontractors, members of a drug trafficker’s network.
This network stretches including Egypt, Sudan, Europe and Saudi Arabia. The cargo is then recovered by sub-contractors. They pay a portion of the cash amount due but refused to settle a few weeks later the remainder. So a Baron of the network put them in a trap.
Soon, the Libyan and Malian security services exchanged information. Then the Malian security services launched an assault against the house of drug dealers. They caught the sequestered Libyan, an Algerian, the owner of the premises, and the so called Yahia, a Baron of a vast network of traffickers.
