Since last November 6, France, the United Nations and the African leaders ascend the tone towards the Ivory Coast. But Laurent Gbagbo has imperceptibly opened another front on which he is challenging the international community, claiming his “right” on leading legally the country.

When a country like the Ivory Coast wants to be an economic power in the sub-region, those who don’t want the African people to develop, they imagine any kind of scenarios to, let’s say, pull down this country, A special advisor to Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo said…; while Alcide Djedjé, appointed foreign minister in the new government of Laurent Gbagbo, has just announced that a new African mediation would be mandated in the Ivorian crisis. After the failure of Thabo Mbeki to find a common ground between Laurent Gbagbo and Alassane Ouattara, both “presidents” of Côte d’Ivoire,   it is time to mediation and there are approaches that are made to send other African mediators to the Ivory Coast, Djedjé announced from his ministry. He said the proposal came from the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, who had talked with the African Union. “Very soon there will be mediators visiting the Ivory Coast, the Gbagbo’s Foreign Minister has declared, without giving a precise date.
