Spain Arrests Convicted Pedophile Daniel Galvan

Spanish police on Monday arrested a Spaniard convicted in Morocco of raping 11 children after Morocco’s king rescinded his pardon of the man.

According to a Spanish foreign ministry spokeswoman it was “after the last statement by the king of Morocco which revoked the pardon, the Spanish and Moroccan ministries of justice have been in contact to decide what to do, how to proceed now.

Moroccan ministry of Justice has also launched to international Interpol its appealing for the arrest of Daniel Galvan.

Daniel Galvan Vina was among 48 Spanish prisoners in Morocco who were pardoned and freed in late July. His release fueled rare protests in the North African country as officials investigated whether a bureaucratic mix-up had led to dozens of prisoners being incorrectly pardoned by the king.

The royal office, in a statement carried by the Moroccan state news agency on Monday, said an inquiry concluded Galvan’s release was due to failures in the prison administration and that its director, Hafid Benhachem, had been fired

Following the investigation He has ordered late Saturday, the King of Morocco, has Expelled High Commissioner of the direction of penitentiary and prisons, Hafid Benhachem, from his office according to a statement  announced by the Royal cabinet Monday.

“The investigation concluded that the said administration, when it was requested by the Royal Cabinet, transmitted inadvertently erroneous criminal circumstances of the applicant information,” the statement said.
