Guinea Conakry: Who will conquest the “ Sekoutoureyah” Palace
The leader of the opposition Alpha Condé, the former Prime Minister Sidya Touré, Celou Dalein Diallo, Lansana Kouyaté, and François Fall are already engaged into competition for the “Sekoutoureyah” conquest, the presidential palace. But it will not be an easy race, they have necessary to count with the other candidates as the businessman Mamadou Sylla, Mamadou Diawara, Abe Sylla, Kassory Fofana and Aboubacar Sompré of the Party for Unity and Progress(PUP) who do not intend to play the role of simple figuration. There are also candidates considered close to Captain Moussa Dadis Camara, as former Ministers Pape Koly Kouroumah and Boubacar Barry.
The stake in the election is important, because it will not only allow to build the rule of law but also to restore hope and trust to the people of Guinea who have been living, for so long, under difficult periods, since the independence in 1958.
A few weeks away from the ballot, considered as historical, observers estimate that all the conditions are gathered for a free and transparent organisation for the elections.
For that, General Sékouba Konaté wants to show all his willingness when he declared and warned all those who would be trying to sabotage the electoral process, by adding that he and his team would leave the power after June 27th, in respect and commitment due to the Ouagadougou agreements of January 15, 2010.
