COP22: Ban KI-Moon called on the international community to translate into actions and effective policies

During the opening ceremony of COP 22 summit, UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, called on the international community to translate into actions and effective policies the provisions of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, stressing the need to protect the planet, safeguard the most vulnerable and move towards shared prosperity.
In her speech, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Patricia Espinosa, lauded the “unprecedented” leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, calling for a reflection on the means to speed up climate action.
