Nineteen Algerian involved in terrorism cases are on the list of most wanted by Interpol. Mokhtar Ben Mokhtar, the former emir of the former Group for Preaching and Combat and today the acting emir of Al Qaeda branch in the Maghreb (AQIM), and Yahia Djouadi, executive head of armed group in the Sahel are in the new list.
Other names are also drawn, like Djamel Mustafa, born in the wilaya of Mascara, Mustapha Abass from Tissemsilt, and that of Kamel Djermane. Among the 34 Algerians deported, to Algeria, from Pakistan and Afghanistan during the past four years, only 18 cases found guilty after being interrogated to determine their links and relationships with terrorist organizations.
