5 + 5: Another way of communication
Tunisia will host the 8th meeting of Foreign Ministers of the countries of the Mediterranean 5+5
Tunisia will host on Thursday the 8th meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Western Mediterranean countries (5+5 group).
The 10 countries of northern and southern Mediterranean countries will participate in this two-day meeting devoted to boost the 5+5 dialogue.
The “5+5” group comprises five countries of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU),which are Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Mauritania, and five European countries, Spain, France, Italy, Malta and Portugal. They will discuss several topics, including immigration, anti-terrorism, and north-south partnership.
Tunisia had launched the concept of the “5+5” dialogue by hosting, in December 2003, the first summit. This informal forum for political dialogue is the oldest one in the Mediterranean cooperation process.
