Guinea: Alpha Condé and his supporters
For the president of the Pan-African Democratic Convention party (COP), Hadjia Daraba Saran Kaba, the only woman candidate in the election, the RPG has for long been enshrined in the framework of the national reconciliation, and truly embodies the idea of change always advocated by the people. “We believe that within the current divisions, confusion and suspicion, and given its social program that takes into account the concern of the people of Guinea, the RPG represents the change wanted and expected for so long”, said Ms. Kaba.
The leader of Guinea for all (GPT), Ibrahima Kassory Fonana, said the RPG political program does not take into account any ethnic or community consideration. Alpha Condé is able to make the happiness of the country.
After the speeches of all his allies, Alpha Condé gave a vision of his party program, updated and related to political alliances formed after the first round. He also made a call to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to reflect the recommendations of his party to correct the shortcomings of the first round.
In the second round, scheduled for September the 19th, Alpha Condé, who scored 18.25% of votes in the first round, will face Cellou Dalein Diallo, granted with 43.67% of votes.
