GUINEA: Diallo wiser than Gbagbo

By on December 8, 2010

As the Supreme Court decisions are final and given our previous commitments, we will comply with this decision, Cellou Dalein has declared.

Dalein chose to listen to the voice of wisdom, and in doing so, he refused to join the lot of these politicians who are willing to jeopardise their countries up to down, in fire and blood for private objectives and keep the presidency seat. And by doing so, Diallo is giving to Africa the best and sound lesson of ethic and moral, that between him and Laurent Gbagbo of the Ivory Coast, it is day and night. But behind this patriotism, welcomed by all, lies an immeasurable policy. May be , Diallo Cellein wants to take enough distance from the recent events to reposition himself and increase his prestige, knowing the  difference of votes between him and his challenger is not as great. While for his political opponent, Alpha Condé, the victorious, who has just been brought to lead the country, should tackle the complex challenges of more than a half  century. Guinea finally has a great opportunity to finally get out of the quagmire, and overcome the ethnic and regional divisions in order to reconcile the Guineans with themselves.
