The King Meets In New York With Hillary Clinton

sm_le_roi_-clinton-m2HM King Mohammed VI met, on Tuesday in New York, with Hillary Clinton, a statement by the royal office said.

The meeting, which was an occasion to discuss several issues, shows the renewed friendship between the royal family and the Clinton family, as well as Hillary Clinton’s esteem for Morocco and its people.

 Hillary Clinton was the USA first lady from 1993 to 2001 while her husband Bill Clinton was president, senator of New York for two successive mandates from 2001 to 2009 and secretary of state from 2009 to 2013 during the first mandate of President Barack Obama.

 The meeting is part of contacts and of the visit paid by The Moroccan monarch the King to the USA, the statement said.

 HM the King was accompanied during the meeting by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid.
