Morocco, USA open 2nd session of strategic dialog in Rabat
The second session of the Morocco-US strategic dialog opened this Friday morning in Rabat, under the co-chairmanship of minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Salaheddine Mezouar, and US secretary of state John Kerry.
Themed “strengthening solid cooperation ties between the two countries”, the meeting is an opportunity for the two countries to promote and expand economic, political, social, educational and cultural partnership.
Rabat and Washington have repeatedly expressed resolve to open new horizons in their ties, in keeping with the joint communiqué released last November following the summit-meeting held in Washington between HM King Mohammed VI and President Barack Obama.
Three work sessions, held as part of this dialog, will look into “political and security issues”, “economic and trade relations” and “cooperation in education and cultural fields”.
